Five years on, Miley Cyrus still holds record for longest confirmation time

Today marks exactly five years since the day Vevo had confirmed and announced that Miley Cyrus broke the Vevo record with We Can’t Stop, with 10,700,000 views in 24 hours. A month later, it became the fastest video to reach 100 million views, but this was surpassed later that year with Wrecking Ball, which did it in a mere six days. Both records have come and gone and outlived their glory days, but five years on, the older of the two still holds the record for the longest “confirmation time” for a video that ever held the single-day viewing record. That video was uploaded on June 19, 2013, and turned 24 hours old on June 20, but the record was unknown until the 26th. About nine months before then, One Direction’s “Live While We’re Young” held the record for the longest time it took to confirm a record, with five days (The video turned 24 hours old on September 21, 2012, but the record was unknown until September 26.) Normally, it takes only two days, or 48 hours, to confirm that a video broke the 24 hour viewing record. Presumably the reason it took so long to confirm these records is that they broke their predecessors by a relatively small amount. For example, Live While We’re Young broke the record by only 40,000 views. When Miley Cyrus broke the record with her video in June 2013, it was also a very close race (10,700,000 vs. 10,600,000). However, Wrecking Ball had 19,300,000 views, over 50% more than the 12,300,000 views generated by One Direction’s “Best Song Ever”, so that record was known almost immediately.

It has been quite a day for 22-year-old Justin Joy. There are many days on which he didn’t pee in his pants, but yesterday 6.24 most certainly wasn’t an item upon that list. At 1:45 a.m. EDT, Jason Snover arrived at his house to wake up the boy and lure him down to the kitchen on the floor below. Jason placed his hand into Justin’s pants to tickle the latter’s groin. Justin attempted to hold it, but he peed in his pants, and Jason laughed out loud.

Babies born on November 30, 1988 Turn 29 Today

To a world that greeted them twenty-nine years ago less than a week after Thanksgiving in 1988, they were known as the 11.30.88 babies. But they are sure not babies no more. That day, a swarm of monsters of unknown identity travelled all around the United States of America to force every person who was alive at the time to dislike certain human names. Those born on or after December 1, 1988 were not affected. This affected Daniel Feingold, but not Thomas Bonanno (born July 30, 1991). The monsters told the people who were alive at the end of Nov. 1988 to dislike the name Clitus and its various forms Cletus, Cletis, and so on. This explains why on Yahoo Answers, many people say they don’t like those names. Had those questions been asked today instead of eleven years ago, the results would be much more positive instead, as the 25-year-olds of today were born in 1993, not 1982, and 1993 1988 but 1982 1988. A recent study shows that the approval rating of said names have increased significantly in the last 25 years.

This Saturday September 30 marks four years since Shauna watched fireworks with a boy, namely Calem, at the Parfum Palace after saving a Furfrou that was running about in the maze in the garden. At around 9:00 p.m. CDT on that Monday night four years ago today, Shauna said “I’ve never seen fireworks alone with a boy before.” After watching the fireworks for five wonderful seconds, she said, “That. Was. Amazing. I never ever want to forget these fireworks, and so I’ll keep this in an album in my heart.” Guess what? Now, four years later, she has kept her word. She has not forgotten those fireworks. Over the past seventy-two hours, she has been donating money to the victims of Hurricane Harvey. She is a fan of the song Despacito and listens to it almost every day. She had a dream five days ago in which she went back to that magical night watching fireworks with Calem. Although it was just a dream, she was happy all over again.
