TAITRONICS, a major electronics trade fair that was first held in Taiwan almost 35 years ago, started its Asian tour in Bangkok, Thailand at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre last week. 110 ICT developers from Thailand, India, and Taiwan participated in TAITRONICS Bangkok between July 10 to 13. TAITRA, the show organizer, also set up the “Taiwan Excellence Pavilion” to promote Taiwan’s brands in the global market.

Different from TAITRONICS Bangkok, a B2B-oriented show, the Thailand Electronics Technology 2008, a B2C-oriented show organized by Se-Education Public Co.,Ltd., is also held there to showcase product lines mainly on consumer electronics including PDAs, mobile phones, AV-medias, and hardware DIY tools.

Although the market orientation from TAITRONICS Bangkok and Thailand Electronics Technology were vastly different, the TAITRA had confidence on international procurements between those two shows.

After the TAITRONICS Bangkok, TAITRA had scheduled the next stage of TAITRONICS in India at Chennai Trade Center Hall 3 on September 11 to 13.
