Different with last year, the 2008 2nd Leisure Taiwan (a.k.a Taiwan Sport Recreation and Leisure Show) started with 131 companies’ participation including sports media (ESPN, VideoLand Television), bicycle and sporting good industries, fitness clubs & organizations, arena-style events (3-on-3 basketball tournament, free style shooting, bicycle test-riding), and recreation sports & physical education symposiums at Taipei World Trade Center from yesterday (July 18) until next Monday (July 21).

With the main topic of carbon-saving and energy-efficiency, bicycles and fitness sport equipments are frequently asked from local and trade visitors. In addition, companies from arcade amusement industry had planned showcasing at “2008 Digital E-Park” exhibition by Ministry of Economic Affairs from next Tuesday (July 22) instead of 2008 Leisure Taiwan.

After 2008 Leisure Taiwan, the 2008 Digital E-Park will chain the topic of digital content and leisure amusement industries to encourage the public interact with regular leisure activities.

This year’s Leisure Taiwan trade show (a.k.a Taiwan Sport Recreation and Leisure Show) started today, with 131 companies’ participating including sports media companies such as ESPN and VideoLand Television, businesses selling sports equipment and fitness clubs. There were also a variety of sports being played in the arena built for the trade show. The events included a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, free style shooting, and bicycle test-riding. In addition, conferences discussed issues related to sport and physical education.

A major topic in the trade show was energy-efficiency and, as a result, bicycles and similar sports equipment was being heavily promoted. Next Tuesday, companies from the electronics industry plan to promote there industry at “2008 Digital E-Park.” In previous years, organisations from the electronics, have showcased there products at Leisure Taiwan.

This year’s Leisure Taiwan trade show (a.k.a Taiwan Sport Recreation and Leisure Show) started today, with 131 companies’ participating including sports media companies such as ESPN and VideoLand Television, businesses selling sports equipment and fitness clubs.

There were also a variety of sports being played in the arena built for the trade show. The events included a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, free style shooting, and bicycle test-riding. In addition, conferences discussed issues related to sport and physical education.

A major topic in the trade show was energy-efficiency and, as a result, bicycles and similar sports equipment were being heavily promoted.

Next Tuesday, companies from the electronics industry plan to promote there industry at “2008 Digital E-Park.” In previous years, organizations from the electronics industry, have showcased there products at Leisure Taiwan instead of at the Digital E-Park, so this move reduced the number of markets covered by Leisure Taiwan.
