American actress Bea Arthur dies at age 86

Bea Arthur, an American actress, has died at the age of 86 at her home, according to a spokesperson. Arthur has been suffering from cancer for some time.

“She was a brilliant and witty woman. Bea will always have a special place in my heart,” said Dan Watt, Arthur’s spokesman for six years.

Arthur was probably most famous for her roles in the American TV series The Golden Girls and Maude. She also won a Tony Award for her role in the Broadway musical Mame.

Bea Arthur, an American actress, has died at the age of 86 at her home, according to a spokesperson. Arthur has been suffering from cancer for some time.
