Over 150 civilians, were killed in Syria on the day before, after extreme attacks by Ahrar al-Sham, the American-supported and equipped terrorist group, whom president Obama calls ‘moderate rebels’.

Lily Martin says ‘heavy causalities are arriving via dozens of ambulances now racing toward hospitals all over Latakia,’ after 7 bomb explosions were made.

According to the source, on Tuesday 24 May, the unarmed civilians, many of which were children, were waiting to board buses in Jeblah. There were a number of suicide bombers present at the hospital in which the injured where arriving at, Al Watany Hospital in Jeblah. These attacks were made inside the hospital during the chaos of arriving injured persons.

These terrorists who are supported by USA, [https://www.rt.com/news/344577-nusra-weapons-supplies-turkey/ Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and all the European countries, have caused the worst carnage for the Latakia province in a number of years.

Syria has been under attack by ‘moderate rebels’ for five years now.

[1] NATO’s al Quada gangs have consistently attacked Syria’s hospitals and in recent years they bombed three major Aleppo hospitals; Ibn Rushd, al Dabbit and al Razi.

Between 2011 and 2013 they attacked 67 of the countries 94 national hospitals.

“I would like to point out something, if you open the trending section in Facebook you will see that Aleppo, Syria is trending. They say the Syrian government is continuing air-strikes on Aleppo. The funny thing is we don’t see or hear any planes.” ~ Marianne R Bedoun, Aleppo

Aleppo Doctor dr Nabil Antaki says western media accounts are distorted. Western media showed the bombing of another Syrian hospital ‘Al Quds Hospital’ by Nusra coalition on April 27, 2016. However Russia says satellite images show the damage was done before October 2015.

Belgium officials have released a statement today announcing they have put a stop to a possible terrorist attack, arresting four individuals in Antwerp who were suspected of attempting to recruit individuals for ISIS.

A statement released by officials claims that while the arrested individuals were suspected of being involved in future possible attacks, they were not involved in Belgium’s previous terrorist attacks, specifically the two suicide bombings in March at Brussels airport and a metro station which killed 32 people.

An investigating judged ordered the arrests of two of the suspects but one was later released with an electronic bracelet, while the remaining two were permitted to be released under strict conditions.

These new reports indicate Belgium continues to deal with high terror threats, with the country recently changing their terror threat level in March from four to a three. This change was made just two days after the two suicide bombings; with government officials claiming attacks were now less imminent.

However, previous reports which surfaced in April with Belgium officials stating citizens needed to remain vigilant, with attacks still being possible despite arrests continuing to be made.

Jose Mourinho has signed a deal to become the new Manchester United manager.

The former Chelsea manager has been in talks with the club ever since Louis van Gaal’s sacking on Monday and is believed to have signed a three year deal with the club. He met with Manchester United Executive Vice Chairman, Ed Woodward, in a London hotel on Thursday afternoon to sign the deal worth around 10 million pounds per season. He will be earning double the former manager’s salary.

Van Gaal was sacked after United’s FA Cup victory against Crystal Palace, and former United star, Christiano Ronaldo, has expressed his hopes of Mourinho returning the club to its glory days. “it hurts me seeing United like that because it’s a club I carry in my heart. I wish Mourinho can restore them back to the top,” he said. The signing shows the Red Devils’ intent to fix the club’s underlying problems and return to the 2016-17 season with their eyes on Champions League football.

United will be taking part in the International Champions Cup in China during the 2016 pre-season tour, and Mourinho is expected to take charge of his first match as manager when the club face Borussia Dortmund in Shanghai on July 22. The other team Mourinho’s men will face in the competition are local rivals Manchester City on July 25.

The erosion of our NSW’s democratic rights

The Baird government’s harsh anti-protest laws represent the most recent in a series of restrictions and laws imposed on the people of New South Wales. When the Lockout laws were introduced in early 2014, a trend was created, one which has slowly taken away some of our most basic democratic rights. The new anti-protest laws give the police the right to shutdown any protest or demonstration that they find to be un-lawful. They have the right to detain and search you and confiscate anything you are carrying. If persons are caught interfering with the operations of a mine during a protest, they now face a lengthy, seven-year jail sentence.

Mr. Baird explained how these laws were aimed specifically to protect coal seam gas (CSG) companies and mining companies. The penalties for protestors entering a coal seam gas or mining site has been increased to $5’500. While fines for protestors were increased, the penalty for mining companies mining illegally, was dramatically reduced from a 1 million dollar fine to a $5’500 penalty notice.

Although on a different scale, when these laws are compared to the lockout laws and the idea that Mike Baird is being paid off by the Casino’s. It is easy to see how people may think the same in relation to the big mining companies.

Similar to these anti-protest laws are a series of penalties, which are fundamentally undermining our human and democratic rights. There were laws passed last year, which meant that people who reported on human rights violations could face lengthy jail sentences. If journalists are forced to reveal their sources in fear of going to prison, then that is how democracy begins to collapse.

We rely on rights like free media and the right to protest to keep our government and our leaders in check. When it comes down to it, our premiers and prime ministers work for the people, so if we believe that what they are doing is wrong, we need to have the right to talk about it and argue against it.

Today, the Australian Government’s Department of Health awarded Telstra‘s health division a contract to create and manage a national cancer screening register to be called the Australian National Cancer Screening Register (ANCSR). This register would be digitised, with existing registers, such as the national bowel cancer register or various cervical cancer registers, being incorporated into the one.

The new register is expected to be operational around May 2017 and to involve a database which will house users’ personal medical records and do away with hard copy records. Services this registry is to provide include a portal for users to access their information, reminders for users to have screenings or follow-up on screening results via SMS, and general practitioners and medical specialists having access to patient data and records from any area of Australia from their clinical desktops.

Security of information and privacy infringement risks have been addressed by Telstra Health managing Director Shane Solomon who says upon winning the contract Telstra had to comply with strict privacy standards and security provisions. Commonwealth standards also required the medical data of users be stored in Australia.

A coalition of leading mental health professionals and parents who have lost children to suicide today challenged candidates to take action at Parliament House in Canberra. Member of the coalition Cheryl Frank comments, “We’re a collaborative of parents, academics and people who really want to know the major political parties response to the Mental Health Commission’s standard on suicide prevention.”

The Mental Health Commission’s standard provides 25 recommendations across nine strategic directions, which guide a detailed implementation framework of activity over the next decade. This includes programmes and services include finding prevention, early detection and a treatment of mental illness. This also extends to mental health research, workforce development and training; and/or the reduction of the burden of disease caused by mental illness.

National Mental Health Commissioner Professor Ian Hickie told ABC NewsRadio’s Marius Benson that industry such as mining, construction and manufacturing in the rural and regional areas will suffer the most. “It’s the old industries where particularly men with skills and trades but without higher education had good economic incomes, had secure jobs – they’re the groups that are most under threat,” he says. “Those communities are under real stress and they require immediate focused support with interventions that we know work, community based health services backed by new effective technologies and a focus on working together to reduce attempted suicides and completed suicides,” he says. It is those areas where we see high suicide rates two to three times the national average and the coalition will today present the need for more focused and intensive activity in those communities.

Trump rally in New Mexico turns violent

Protests were instigated outside a Donald Trump rally in New Mexico, resulting in uproar between the police and protestors.

The demonstrators set fire to campaign merchandise and clashed with police by throwing burning t-shirts, rocks and bottles along with other items at them outside the Albuquerque Convention Center. Police responded by firing pepper spray and smoke grenades into the crowd.

The BBC reports that protestors held banners that read, “Trump is Fascist” and “We’ve heard enough”, while some waved the Mexican flag.

According to Word Atlas, New Mexico is the largest Hispanic state in the United States of America, with 47% of the Hispanic population residing in the state.

It appears Trump has enraged many Hispanics regarding his comments on illegal immigration and his plan to build a border between Mexico and the US.

During the rally, the protestors repeatedly interrupted the Republican presidential nominee. Trump’s supporters responded with mocking chants of “Build that wall!”

Later that evening, Trump took to Twitter himself to respond to the uproar at his rally earlier that day. Stating, “The protestors in New Mexico were thugs who were flying the Mexican flag. The rally inside was big and beautiful, but outside, criminals!”
