Donald Trumps campaign chairman Paul Manafort has resigned from his position, signifying a significant departure from the campaign.

His resignation comes after emails implicating his involvement in a covert Washington lobbying operation on behalf of the Ukraine’s ruling political party, were released by the associated press earlier this week. Such efforts included attempts to circumvent American public opinion in favour of the countries pro Russian government.

The emails also show that Manafort was in breach of federal law by not disclosing his work as a foreign agent as required.

The lobbying included direct attempts to undermine US public sympathy for Yulia Tymoshenko, who was at the time an imprisoned rival of the then President Viktor Yanukovych. Such efforts were in direct contradiction to statements made by both the US and European governments who were pressuring for her release.

These revelations come at a time when Donald Trump has been criticised for his pro Russian remarks that are strongly divergent from other members of the GOP. Indeed Trump described Putin as “bright and talented” just four years after Mitt Romney called Russia Americas greatest political foe.

Donald Trump and his campaign team has been dodged with one controversy or the other. It makes one wonder if the man has any adviser at all It seems as nobody vet through his campaign policy and personal misstatements its now not surprising that this is the caliber of person that make makes up his campaign team American past presidents are known for their oratory power out of which former Presidents John Kennedy.Bill Clinton and incumbent Barack Obama excelled. America Presidents are known to speak proprietorially hours without contradicting American constitution or their political party policy Now i wonder how Donald Trump and his political team into this flawless public interaction Hardly had Donald Trump made any policy or campaign statement without blunder, He talked down an American disabled citizen. ridiculed the parents of an American gallant soldier who died fighting for America.Their major sin was being Muslim, While the whole world was clamoring for a nuclear free world Trump presidency would encourage Japan and South Korea to arm themselves with nuclear weapon Just recently Trump incited American gun owners to target Hillary Clinton as the only way to stop her. What a careless president Trump would be if he eventually wins A MAN THAT SUFFERS FROM DIARRHEA OF THE MIND AND DYSENTERY OF THE MOUTH CAN RULE AMERICA AND THE REST OF THE WORLD

Simon Gittany lost his appeal yesterday against his conviction of the Sydney, Australia murder of his fiancee, Lisa Harnum, in July 2011. Gittany killed Harnum by throwing her over their fifteenth storey balcony in a fit of rage.

His original sentence was a minimum 18 years, which remained in effect after the unanimous decision made by the NSW Court of Criminal Appeal yesterday. He had appealed to overturn the murder conviction.

Gittany is now 42, while Harnum was 30 at the time of her death. Gittany’s appeal involved a legal argument that testimony from Joshua Rathmell, the Crown’s key witness, was unreliable.

The court heard Rathmell’s testimony, which said on the night of the murder he was heard “deranged screaming” while walking past the apartment in Liverpool Street. Rathmell had originally thought Harnum’s body getting thrown over the balcony was a suitcase or black duffel bag.

During the appeal, Gittany’s lawyer argued Rathmell’s testimony may have been influenced by his learning it was a body after the incident, but all three judges dismissed that challenge.

CCTV footage on the night of the murder case showed Gittany forcefully and angrily grabbing a frightened Harnum, forcing her into the apartment, barely a minute before she was killed. The footage then showed Harnum take the building elevator downwards.

He was tried by Justice Lucy McCallum without a jury and was found guilty. McCallum’s judgement was 175 pages long and specified her contentment with the verdict and that Gittany was undoubtedly not in control of his temper and in a state of rage.

Ten Australian athletes have been detained in Rio De Janeiro by Brazilian authorities after allegedly tampering with their accreditations in order to watch the Australian Basketball Team in the semi-final against Serbia. The incident occurred on Friday evening local time.

The Australian Olympic committee has confirmed that 10 athletes from various sports have been taken to a police station near the Olympic Park and negotiations are still underway to have the athletes released. Chief executive of the Australian Olympic Committee, Fiona de Jong, released a statement concerning the incident, “Ten of the Australian athletes didn’t have accreditation to be in that part of the venue. The Brazilian authorities and us are working through the issues. Nobody has been arrested and we will provide you with a detailed statement when those discussions have advanced.”

The alleged accreditation alterations could potentially see immediate deportation for the 10 Australians as the formal accreditations also doubles as their Brazilian visas. Some of the athletes detained include, captain of the rugby sevens Ed Jenkins, archer Alec Potts, Cyclist Matthew Glaetzer and rowers Fiona Albert and Lucy Stephen.
